Student Bursary
The Bursary Fund is to help young people facing financial hardship to stay on in full-time education after Year 11. Please note that it is not for use to cover costs on the residential side of the Academy. The Bursary Fund is available to English students who may need extra financial support during their time at College, and is managed by the Academy itself. Students from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have a different scheme. To find out more about the Bursary fund, please read the Bursary Fund guidance. If you have any additional questions that are not answered by the guidance document, please contact our administration team.
Information on Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payments, Universal Credit/Income Support and Employment Support Allowance are available from the Department for Work and Pensions.
As we only receive a limited amount of money, we need to know as quickly as possible how many eligible students the Academy has, in order to allocate the funds fairly. The Academy cannot guarantee that an application for the Bursary will be successful even if all the criteria are met. Please note that no decision or payment can be made until the application form and supporting evidence has been received.
If you feel that your son/daughter is eligible for a payment from the Fund, please download, complete and return the application form, along with any supporting documents, as soon as possible to:
