College student Rebekah was presented with the ‘best attendance’ award at her ‘Final Major Project’ screening on her Level 3 Creative Media Production course.

During the event, she watched a variety of films created by her classmates, who had produced works including innovative music videos, corporate identity advertising features and dramatic thriller short stories. Her own production, which was an imaginative Deaf Awareness film about her communication methods with hearing people, won praise from her friends on the course who nominated her to be shortlisted for ‘best production’.

Rebekah’s dedication and commitment to her studies is outstanding and it is wonderful that she has been recognised and awarded for her exemplary attendance.

Rebekah said “I’m very proud to have won, I didn’t expect anything!”

She is looking forward to the Exeter College media faculty Oscar awards at the end of the month, which will include students’ film and media productions from all the courses in the department. Who knows, Rebekah might well get more recognition for her success; let’s wait and see!
