Last week some of our School students headed to Exeter city centre to visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in with a local artist, to take part in an exciting digital art project called Museum Machina.
The students enjoyed looking around the museum and the exhibits. The following day in the classroom they worked with artist Cara Roxanne to design stickers inspired by some of the RAMM objects they had seen.
These stickers can be scanned using an ‘augmented reality’ app on a smartphone or tablet, which will then display more of our students’ artwork (including short films, animations or still images) inspired by the museum objects. The museum’s butterfly collection turned out to be the perfect subject!
It was a fascinating project to be a part of. Thanks to Daisi Arts for this opportunity!
