Last week Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service carried out a planned training exercise at the site where we are due to build our new Deaf Academy in Exmouth.
We were pleased to be able to grant permission for our local Fire Crews to use the former Rolle College site before we commence our building works there.
58 Fire Fighters and 6 Fire Engines took part in a variety of rescues from a smoke-filled building and we’ve been told it was a great success!
We know Fire Fighters are highly trained for all eventualities, however opportunities for them to organise large scale exercises like these are rare, so we were very pleased to help.
We’re grateful to Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service for all that they do to keep our communities safe.
