On Tuesday 6 February the final demolition was carried out at the Rolle College site in Exmouth, where we are building our new Academy. It won’t be long before our building crew start construction of our new home!
This is last building to be demolished which will make way for the new student residential accommodation – we expect to have the site cleared by March and are on track to commence the build in May. The doors of our new Deaf Academy will open for the beginning of the academic year in September 2019.
Exmouth is a town with a strong sense of community and we are already receiving such a warm welcome. Being an active part of this community is at the heart of our vision for the new Academy, and our aspiration is to bring Deaf and hearing people together enabling Exmouth to be a role model to the rest of the UK as Britain’s first Deaf-friendly town.
