As part of the OCR unit ‘Accessing Community Facilities’, College’s CN class discussed important events and they recognised that there was a poppy shop in Exeter city centre. The group planned a visit to the shop as well as visiting Exeter Cathedral to observe the two-minute silence to remember those who had fallen in war. When we arrived we found that the Cathedral’s service was open to the public and so we took part in this. All students had an understanding and respect for the situation and we were very proud of them.
