This year our School Council were in charge of organising Children in Need. They decided they would raise money by asking staff and students to wear their pyjamas all day and also take part in a sponsored walk around Exeter’s historic Quayside to get members of the public involved too. Of course it wouldn’t be Children in Need without a cake sale either.

Head of School Council, Molly, wrote letters to students’ parents making them aware of the council’s plans and included sponsorship forms so students could raise money from their friends and family. The council also organised an assembly to help explain the importance of the day and information about the children and services who are supported by Children in Need.

On the day, even though the skies were grey, the students were undeterred and completed their sponsored walk of the Quay with collection buckets in tow. The cake sale followed at lunchtime. Overall the students raised £248.56 and we are very proud of the school council for organising such a great day.
