PaddleBoat Theatre has been running a project researching and exploring the history of the Academy, together with students, staff and former students.

We cordially invite you to the Deaf Academy to celebrate the culmination of the project where we will showcase:

The launch of the children’s book, ‘The Amazing History of the Deaf Academy’, illustrated by Lucy Rogers
A film that documents students’ life at the Academy, directed by David Ellington
An exhibition of artifacts from the Deaf Academy’s history.

The event programme will finish at 2.30pm but you are welcome to stay on to meet with others and share your memories.
